Stephen Chow is a Hong Kong film director, writer, actor, film producer and a political adviser. Chow began his career as a temporary actor on television. He entered TVB in early 1980s, and was trained there. He graduated from TVB’s acting classes in 1982. He began to find some success with the children’s programme 430 Space Shuttle. In 1987, he entered into the movie industry through the film Final Justice, which won him the Taiwan Golden Horse Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Stephen Chow shot to stardom in 1989’s The Final Combat. 1990’s all for the Winner made him one of the most sought-after stars in Hong Kong. In 1991, his ‘Fight Back to School’ became Hong Kong’s top-grossing film of all time. In 1994, he began directing films, starting with From Beijing with Love, which he co-directed with Lee Lik-Chi. In the later half of the 1990s, China began to warm to Stephen Chow movies. His film duology A Chinese Odyssey made him (and remains) most iconic star and Stephen Chow Cultural in China. In 2001 his film Shaolin Soccer grossed over US$50 million all over the world.

In childhood, Stephen Chow liked to watch Bruce Lee’s movies. Speaking to say, Chow came up in the film arena after getting inspired by Bruce Lee’s movies. His movies are full of comedy and humor. Stephen Chow takes new actress in his every new movies. He always tries to show new things with comedy along with martial arts and he acts in his movies as a natural comedian that makes him different from other actors speaking to say.
