England confirmed their tour to Bangladesh
England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have confirmed the tour of Bangladesh as planned. Concerns for security were raised when terrorists attack occurred at Gulshan in Dhaka. For this, the fans of Bangladesh have been concerned for the issue of the arrival of England to Bangladesh.
England’s Test captain Alastair Cook and ODI captain Eoin Morgan were briefed by Dickason on the security arrangements and the risk assessment. Leatherdale and Carr were also present at the meeting alongside Andrew Strauss, the director of England cricket, and Tom Harrison, the ECB chief executive. “England’s tour of Bangladesh will continue as planned,” said Strauss after the meeting.
England cricket team will arrive on 30 September and they are scheduled to play three warm-up matches, three ODI and two Test matches. England team will leave Bangladesh on November 2. They will then travel to India for a five-Test series starting on November 9.
