England break world ODI record against Pakistan
England have broken world record by scoring 444 runs for 3 wickets in the third one day internationals at Trent Bridge. England captain, Eoin Morgan has decided to bat first after winning the toss.
Alex Hales helped England break the world record of ODI highest runs with his blistering knock of 171 runs which is also the highest individual scores by any English batsman.
Third ODI at Trent Bridge
England 444-3 (50 Overs): Hales 171 (122), Buttler 90*(51)
Pakistan 275 all out (42.4 Overs): Amir 58 (28)
England won by 169 runs
Alex Hales 171, Buttler 90*, Joe Root 85 and Morgan 57* gave England the highest ODI runs. England batsmen have hammered Pakistani bowlers all through the first innings. The most worst figure for Pakistani bowlers is for Wahab Riaz who has expended 110 runs in 10 overs with 11.0 economy rate and hasn’t got any wicket.
In reply of the world record target of 445, Pakistani batsmen found no way for runs. Nevertheless, Sharjeel Khan, with 12 fours and a six from 30 balls, briefly threatened a once-in-a-lifetime run chase but Chris Woakes, as usual, picked off top-order wickets to make sure this would be a non-contest of a match. Amir showed some entertainment to the spectators bringing up his fifty with three consecutive sixes off Adil Rashid. He and Yasir added 76 in seven overs for the last wicket as it briefly became a little messy from England until Amir top edged a return catch to give Woakes his fourth.
England dominated the whole match against Pakistan and won the series with breaking world record.
