Hameed, Duckett and Ansari are selected for Bangladesh tour
ECB selected uncapped trio in the upcoming series against Bangladesh. Duckett, the Northamptonshire batsman, is the only uncapped player to be picked in both the Test and one-day squads for next month’s tour to Bangladesh. Zafar Ansari, the Surrey spin bowling allrounder, and Lancashire’s Haseeb Hameed are the two other players without international experience picked in the 17 man Test squad announced on Friday.
Duckett will play as opening batsman in the one-day series at the start of the tour in place of Alex Hales and will have a shoot out with Haseeb Hameed
to reprise the role in the Test team. Alastair Cook is flying to Bangladesh with the one-day squad to attune to local conditions before returning for the birth of his second child, which will rule him out of the two two day warm-up games before the first Test on Oct 20.
However, England cricket team will arrive in Bangladesh on 30 September, 2016. England will play three ODI matches and two Test matches.
