Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon denies to send High Performance team or Under 19 team to Pakistan. “We haven’t spoken about going to Pakistan since we heard their decision from the media,” BCB president Nazmul Hassan said. “The national team is out of the question. Our HP or U-19 teams might have gone there but when they made this announcement (of postponing the Bangladesh tour) we are no longer in talks. After this, there is no question of talking about the HP tour.”
After the Champions Trophy, Nazmul Hasan wants the players to take rest. He also wants to discuss with other boards to play a series in Bangladesh before Australia’s Two Test series.
After the series of Australia, Bangladesh will visit South Africa to play 2 Test matches, 3 ODIs and 2 T20I matches during September-October in 2017. Coming back from South Africa, the players will participate in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Bangladesh Team have already played a warm-up match of ICC Champions Trophy against Pakistan yesterday (27 May). Pakistan won the first warm-up match by 2 wickets. After winning the toss, Mashrafe Mortaza decided to bat and Bangladesh scored 341 for 9 wickets. In reply Pakistan chased the target with a great effort by Fahim Ashraf. Pakistan’s second warm-up match against Australia on 29 May and Bangladesh will play their second warm-up match against India on 30 May.
ICC Champions Trophy 2017 will begin on 1 June. The first match will be held between England and Bangladesh at the Oval.
